Upon graduation from TCU in 1996 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, Jeff was commissioned as a 2LT in the US Army where he served on active duty for 4 years. During that time, Jeff’s hospital experience included medical/surgical, telemetry, burn unit, critical care and pediatrics. He served 3 years at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas before attending the Critical Care Nursing Specialty Course from which he was the Distinguished Honor Graduate. Once he gained his specialization in critical care nursing, Jeff moved to El Paso to serve at William Beaumont Army Medical Center for his last year on active duty. Jeff was discharged from the Army in 2000.
Since 2000 and his exit from active duty, Jeff has been with Eli Lilly and Company, a U.S.-based, Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company. During his almost 19-year career with Lilly, Jeff has performed in many functions including sales, sales training, sales management, and leadership development. He has worked with teams all over North America on developing leaders, establishing a winning team culture, and maximizing the potential of employees. He has worked with healthcare professionals practicing in many areas of medicine including psychiatric, pediatric, men’s health, osteoporosis, chronic pain, and diabetes. Jeff is currently based in Fort Worth, Texas where he manages a team of sales reps covering parts of West Texas and New Mexico.
In his personal life, Jeff recently celebrated his 21st wedding anniversary with his wife, Cheryl, and they have 2 children: a 12-year-old boy, and a 7-year-old girl. He is a four-time Ironman finisher and enjoys fishing, playing guitar, coaching his baby girl’s flag football team, and trying not to let his 12-year-old beat him at chess.
